What's the Right Amount of Homework?????
1st-3rd grade- work should not exceed 20 minutes each school day
3rd –6thgrades- Many educators recommend from 30-60 minutes a school day for most students
7th –8th grades-Generally up to 2 hours a school day is thought to be
appropriate.
9-12 grade-The amount of homework will vary by subject as well as what projects, reports, papers, tests the students have. High school students might need help organizing assignments and planning work times.
Remember- Children need to know that their parents and adults close to them think homework is important. Keep a good attitude about your child work. If you have any worries talk with your child's teacher. When students know parent’s care and value education, assignments and work is more likely to be turned in on time.
